There are many movies which has good climax, but whole movie wouldn't be interesting, or like both the climax and movie would be totally waste, but this movie is absolutely fresh n entertaining but accepting the climax is individuals perspective...

Story
Vennila kabadi kulu is a group of rustic youth from different Caste sectors of the society. They play kabadi with the nearby village teams, but they have never won anything. They are insulted everywhere in their village, even their parents insult them for not winning anything, but still they dedicate anything to play kabadi match..

Hero, Marimuthu is initially like a helper in the team, he doesn't
play with the team. In his chidhood, he is pushed to work while schooling,
due tothe death of his father, during a pongal festive season, he meets up
with saranya mohan (heroine, her character doesn't have a name in the
movie), who just came to her relative's house to attend the festival. They
fall in love after some poetic sequences. During the festive season a
kabadi match is organized with a nearby team, hero is forced to play
in this match due to the absence of the otherplayer.

Initially Vennila teams suffers, but after the ride of hero the match
turns upside down. He is also supported by heroine for every move.
He plays very well, when he takes ride he sends out all the player
with his massive power.. when someone comes in for a attack he,
very easily pulls their leg and put them down in seconds.

Kishore, a renowned kabadi coach is being the chief guest of the
match. A problem occurs between the captain of the other team and hero, it ends in a fight, kabadi match is cancelled and hero is being stabbed for the fight. The only match in which Vennila played well has also been cancelled.

The very next day heroine goes to her place and promises him that she will come in the next festive season.

INTERVAL

A beautifully pictured song is the opening scene after the interval.
The team goes to madurai after seeing a poster that kabadi match is
held in madurai. Meanwhile the person who got beatings from hero
is also planning to kill the hero, when time comes.

They reach madurai, but they are rejected an entry, since it is a
knockout tournament and now they cant get in. Kishore is the
senior coach ought there in the tournament. A particular teams
doesn't arrive to the match, so kishore gives a chance to Vennila
team. As usually they doesn't play well in the first half, the crowd
and commentator oooohhhh's at them. At this point after the first
half kishore gives a confidence speech to the players.

Now they show their full potential, and hero becomes the blue
eyed boy of the team. No sooner they attract the crowd with their
massive energy. Kishore is the coach of Paper mill team, they are
the very strong team. Captain of the Paper mill team fights with
kishore when they have different opinions about players. Captain
challenges kishore that they will win without him, kishore instead
states that they are gonna lose to Vennila team. Kishore goes on to
coach the vennila team. He teaches them all those techniques in kabadi.

Hero's Elbow is broken by a team plan in the next match, but still
they manage to win the match without hero. Due to local politics
they attempt to demolish our hero. In a fight, when hero is about to
be killed, his previous enemy comes there and helps him. He is the
one who got beatings from him in the local kabadi match. Ahead of
dispute he gives more confidence to hero to win the match against
Paper mills team.

Vennila team captain is bribed by the local politician, they attract
him saying false words, even this final trick is failed by Kishore and
vennila team captain is sent away from the team.

In a heart gripping final match, Vennila Team wins and gets
accolades from everyone. Then the climax comes, which is actually
not at all necessary.


May be the director would have tried to make an impact on the
viewer, but i guess it failed, although Saranya's expression in the
final scene's is awesome. She steals every one's heart apart from kishore,
hero and the players.

Camerawork is really great, from kabadi ground to the hills, green
fields and dry land, everything is shown in a excellent manner.
Music is also great, only three songs, but simple and best,
picturisation has helped the songs to become a visual treat.
Almost 60% of the movie has comedy which everyone will enjoy.
other part is covered by kabadi match and the poetic love between
hero and saranya mohan.

Saranya mohan is a excellent choice, although she doesn't have much
dialogues, she speaks with her eyes and smile. Hero is also a very
good choice, his part was very realistic. There are many scenes in
the movie which are really fresh, such as, scene involving the dog

and saranya, parotta comedy, tea guy beating his mother in law,
before the interval, "10 மீட்டர் இடைவேளை விட்டு வரவும் " - this is
written in the bus, its changed to "10 நிமிடம் இடைவேளை விட்டு வரவும்".....
this is a very new creativity....

Except the climax whole movie is definitely a must watcher, if we
don't watch it then we are missing something, this is our game and
this is the game which gives a confirm gold medal in the Asian
games for our country, if this game is included in Olympics, then
definitely nobody is there to beat India. A movie about kabadi, with
some very realistic kabadi rides and some risky stunts is definitely a
appreciable effort by the director and everyone involved in this
movie...
